THE RENDLESHAM MATRIX  by Steve Erdmann. “In the early hours of December 26, 1980” Airman First Class John Burroughs spotted “strange lights in the forest” of Rendlesham at the Twin U.S Air Force bases of Bentwaters and Woodbridge. The twin bases were home to the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing, which in 1980 operated the A-10 Thunder Bolt II aircraft, nicknamed the Warthog. They were part of a large number of USAF bases in the United Kingdom, known as the 3rd Air Force; Bentwaters and Woodbridge operated as a single entry. More...

POSSIBLE WEST COAST UFO BASES  By Jeff Krause. On Sunday August 3rd, I attended the MUFON Los Angeles meeting in Burbank, where Preston Dennett gave his presentation; “Is There an Undersea UFO Base Off the Coast of California?” Mr. Dennett presented much evidence in support of that theory, plus discussed many fascinating cases that have occurred in California. More...

THE LONG LEGACY OF MILITARY INTELLIGENCE AND FLYING SAUCERS - PART IV  by Doc Vega. If the general public were aware of the degree that military intelligence, tampering in domestic affairs, and the intimidation of witnesses that has occurred in the long history of the UFO mystery they would not only be shocked, but would come to understand that our federal government is not always concerned with our best interests. However, for government SOP (standard operating procedure) is usually the utilization of secrecy as a form of power over its people. This policy applies to most nations of the world. As opposed to the hacks and paid trolls who try to convince us that conspiracies don’t exist, you can be assured that they invariably do! More.

LUGHNASADH: TIME OF THE HARVEST  by Pat Regan. July has, in the UK at least, frequently been a time of squally weather and drizzle with little or no respite. What can we deduce though from the ancient and mysterious mythological background associated with August, the late summer month ahead? More...

HOW SUMMER UFO VIDEOGRAPHERS BLEW THE WHISTLE ON A CULTURE OF DENIAL  by Jon Kelly. A new video published to YouTube on July 31, 2014, further substantiates the case for a UFO corridor in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood by revealing luminous discharges from the flight of a tumbling opaque body during early evening hours. A second video published on August 1, 2014, demonstrates what many have suspected all along; that golden orbs over English Bay are executing dramatic turns while crossing midnight skies. At least one inevitable conclusion drawn from such freely-available instrumental findings points to the existence of derelict publicly-funded federal institutions steeped in cult-like legacies of ritual abuse, denial and secrecy. More

ALLIED COUNCIL ORBIT ET CONTACTEE TJ THURMOND MORRIS  by Theresa J Morris. We have various levels of sentient intelligent beings on this planet and off. We are the ones we have been waiting for. The disclosure sought by many will be by those who are in the know that alien civilizations exist. More...

GHOST HUNTERS BATTLE DEMON AT FLORIDA HOME - A TRUE STORY  by William J. Hall. Laura Goodin was distraught. She was exhausted and concerned, fearing she was nearing the end of her rope. “Why us? Why us?” she repeated in her characteristic loud and less than pleasant, voice. It had been her question for many days now but something about it was different that time. Her tone seemed more reflective than before. She lowered her head into her hands and sobbed.  More...

PETER SWIFT AND THE SECRET OF GENOUNIA: THE RETURN OF BREMETENNACUM  by Pat Regan. My time travel ghost story, Peter Swift and the Secret of Genounia, was largely based around the ancient Roman settlement in Northern Britain at Ribchester. In those far off days this horse fort was known by the legions as Bremetennacum. The young hero of this mysterious ghost tale is called ‘Peter Swift’ and since I wrote the novel my youngest son, Jason, has to us affectionately become the figure in this book. He also featured on the front cover of the novel. More...

1954 THE SUMMER UFO DEJA VU  by Cheryl Costa. Larry tells us that he was fifteen years old in July of 1954, and he lived in Port Jefferson, NY, on the north shore of Long Island. “The night was clear and moonless; four of buddies and me were walking to a club house on the highest point of Sound Beach.” More...

THE ALCHEMICAL BLACKBIRD OF RENNES-LE-CHATEAU-THE PIERRE PLANTARD TAROT by Mary Alice Bennett. The famous scholar of the Merovingian dynasty, Pierre Plantard of Priory of Sion fame was a draftsman adept at architectural drawing. He left to us five major arcana tarot card drawings which include buildings from Rennes-le-Chateau and Rennes-le-Bains in the backgrounds. This collage is the first of them that I colored to bring them to life, she is the Imperatrice, the Empress. Kissing her foot is a Templar knight whom I believe to be a self-portrait of the artist himself looking out at us. More...

RENNES-LE-CHATEAU - PLANTARD’S EMPEROR CARD AND THE DIVINE FIRE OF THE CRISTA

$

Here is Plantard`s drawing of the tarot emperor in my colors.

It takes some esoteric knowledge to realize that the tarot Emperor drawn by Pierre Plantard is sitting below the tower at Rennes-le-Chateau. With the way the artist has cropped this print, it is difficult to discern the RLC tower.

Click here to enlarge top photo.

The insignia upon which he sits is different than the imperial eagle on the original Oswald Wirth card, this shape denotes an alchemical type of caduceus and is colored like the serpent rouge, the red serpent of Rennes fame. There are many colorful versions of this card, on Plantard`s black and white print, the areas colored red appear as black, so that is how I chose the reds for the helmet and the fabrics. Plantard`s Emperor has an All-Seeing Eye on his shoulder and he wears the Masonic sun and moon on his chest.

He is holding a royal orb surmounted by a red cross reminiscent of the Templars. The cross is red on the Wirth card versions as well. On his helmet appear two horn shapes colored red and the crest plumes at the top are red as on some of the other depictions. This is a well known symbol to classicists familiar with Virgil`s account of the visit of Aeneas to the Underworld through the twin gates of Sleep and Death and through the Gloomy Vestibule to the Land of the Dead. It was Charon with Cerberus Hypnos who took them across the river in his boat - eventually.

When Aeneas reappeared his head was surrounded by the divine fire known as the Geminae Cristae. He reentered this world through the Geminae Portae, the twin gates of horn and ivory, with a halo of ethereal flames around his head. These flames have been compared to the aura which encircled the head of Moses when he came back from Mt. Sinai. Since the time of Virgil this event has been remembered by warriors and artisans by the use of red plumes on helmets symbolic of the flame halo of Aeneas in the Underworld. Called the "Geminae Cristae", it was also an element of the Crista artifact attached to the ruler ship of France.

On the helmet of the king we see the red horns of flame and the red plumes on his crest as an example of this tradition. There is a fragment of a moon in the sky above which is unique among the five Plantard tarot cards, although all of them are night scenes. His staff is quite magnificent and imposing evoking a bygone age.

THE TRIBUTE TO OUR JESTER - THE PLANTARD TAROT OF RENNES-LE-CHATEAU

The Fool returns to Rennes-le-Bains in color.

Look closely at the original Jester or Fool card from the Marseilles French deck and it is obvious that this character portrays a member of the Saracen forces who fought the Templars. His skin tone is different, darker, and he is wearing a huge turban.

Click here to enlarge top photo.

Pierre Plantard is more modest in his version of the #0 card, the Fool, this fellow at least has his pants up even though he is being bitten by a cat. As usual, there are other subtle differences in the Plantard card. Our Jester is strolling through the backyard of Rennes-le-Bains (Baths) near Rennes-le-Chateau in southeastern France. The Rennes-le-Bains church is the backdrop for this major arcana character. Instead of using the yellow brick masonry as a frame as on his Pope of Rennes-le-Bains card, Plantard has constructed an equilateral triangle as the central focus of the painting. When giving a lecture about the Hermetic sciences, he began with the geometry of the map of France - an equilateral triangle of French cities with Bourges in the center.

What is the significance of these two triangles on the map and the card? Note the fool`s staff, the church bell and the "X" marks the spot within the three sided map. Where does the "X" fall, can you solve the puzzle? Our Jester has the sign of the planet Mercury on his shoulder, it refers to more than that small wandering planet in space. The substance liquid mercury was all- important to alchemists throughout history, indeed Pierre Plantard was known to be an alchemist himself as well as being a fine draftsman. He used the characters of the Oswald Wirth tarot deck in his tarot-themed paintings and drew the architectural backgrounds himself displaying perfect perspective. The sign for Mercury also denotes the important Greek oracle called "Hermes Trismegistus" author of "The Divine Pymander" and many other arcane volumes, Hermes Trismegistus is one of the authors of the ancient Gnostic codices discovered at Nag Hammadi in Egypt. Alchemy was an all important science in Greco-Roman Egypt.

During the Crusades, the Templars learned the alchemy of the Holy Land and in Egypt, sometimes when they were held captive by Moslem forces. When the Templars returned to Europe with this new knowledge, it caused a Renaissance of their culture.

New building techniques such as the pointed arch came back with them as well, and their Gothic style of architecture flourished. Each town competed to construct the most grand cathedral. This method of building and weight-bearing opened up the walls for stained glass windows and the alchemical art of colored glass.

The tarot and the history of the Rennes-le-Chateau area is all about the Templars.

In the Fool/Jester card Plantard expresses all of these subjects brilliantly. Is this our Jester returning from the Holy Land with the secrets of the alchemical sciences? In Plantard`s version, the Fool has rosy cheeks but he is wearing a Saracen costume. does he portray a Templar who was a prisoner and a student of the Islamic sciences? On his turban there is the alchemical sign for water, the inverted triangle. The dot in the center means that the water is either distilled or enhanced by the alchemist`s art - our Jester is an adept. I have colored this card according to the tones utilized by Wirth on his 19th c. deck.

Can you figure out the triangle puzzle of Pierre Plantard? What does the location of the "X" within the triangle tell us about him?

THE NEVER-ENDING BATTLE BETWEEN BELIEVERS AND DEBUNKERS  by Sean Casteel. Is it possible to literally “speak” to the dead? Can a gifted medium actually help us to converse with a loved one who has passed on? The supreme logician, Arthur Conan Doyle, believed it IS possible, while his rival, the magician Harry Houdini, decried the practice as a cruel fraud. Read the story of their sometimes bitter feud in “Revealing the Bizarre Powers of Harry Houdini.” More...

ARISTOCRAT VAMPIRES WELL-TO-DO CORPSE MEDICINE  by Peter Fotis Kapnistos. “They have long been famed for their love of lavish banquets and rich recipes. But what is less well known is that the British royals also had a taste for human flesh.” Two 2011 books on medicinal cannibalism (or blood medicine) have revealed that British royalty routinely swallowed parts of the human body.  More...

THE BILLY MEIER SPACE PHOTOS CONTROVERSY  by Michael Horn. Somewhere, 1,340 photographs taken in outer space by Billy Meier in 1975, are in the possession of certain parties most likely affiliated with the CIA…America’s actual secret government. The people who stole those photographs know a few things. They know that Billy Meier’s contacts with extraterrestrials, ongoing now for over 72 years, are authentic. They also know – but probably don’t want to accept – the fact that the best laid, most nefarious, deadly and misguided plans for world domination set in motion decades ago…are doomed to failure. And there’s no gloating here because that failure effectively means extremely bad things for the people of this country…and many others. More...

His skin tone is different, darker, and he is wearing a huge turban. More...

COULD WASHINGTON D.C. BE PROTECTED BY ANCIENT EGYPTIAN TECHNOLOGY?  by T. H. Hughes. For many decades, perhaps earlier than that even, people in the Washington DC area have noticed a strange occurrence when it comes to their local weather. Specifically, severe storms mostly in the summer when on a direct course to impact the District of Columbia tend to break or split apart at the last minute. Local weathermen have been asked about this many times. Acknowledging that the phenomenon does exist and occurs frequently, their usual explanation is that the storms split apart due to the heat island effect. This effect is caused by the concentration of structures and buildings of Washington giving off more heat than the surrounding area. Yet we generally do not see this with other cities. Storms generally tend to intensify over cities. More...

STRANGE HUMANOID ENCOUNTERS WITH TRANSIENT VISITORS  by Scott Corrales. At some point in the 1990s I had a conversation with Dr. Rafael A. Lara Palmeros, director of research for Mexico’s C.E.F.P organization regarding the motives of individuals who develop an unhealthy attraction to UFO and paranormal phenomena. Dr. Lara mentioned a case involving a certain gentleman from Central Mexico who openly expressed his wish to be “contacted by aliens”, as that would be the solution to all his problems, real or imagined. He went as far as to offer money – not small amounts, ether – to any researcher, contactee or psychic who could make his wish come true. More. WILL THE VATICAN ANNOUNCE BELIEF IN EXTRATERRESTRIAL LIFE?  by Robert D Morningstar. For decades the Vatican has convened some of the brightest minds in the scientific community around the world to ponder the possibility of extraterrestrial life, and to prepare a public disclosure on behalf of the Catholic Church in case the existence of aliens is confirmed. THE LONG ISLAND ORBS OF AUGUST 15, 2014  by Cheryl Costa. This story is about two interesting and perhaps related UFO sighting incidents on Long Island. The first sighting was at about 10 p.m. in North Babylon, NY located in Suffolk County. Harvey, a local resident, was walking up his drive way that evening and per chance glanced up and observed three red orbs. He tells us that for more than fifteen minutes he observed these objects several different times. More

UPROAR IN VALLE FERTIL OVER ALLEGED UFO IN ARGENTINA by Scott Corrales. Residents of the department of Valle Fertil report seeing a UFO flying over the area on Thursday afternoon. It vanished two hours later. Photos have appeared on social media showing a light in the sky, and local residents affirm that it is the unidentified flying object. Furthermore, minutes before the alleged UFO's manifestation, there was a slight tremor that frightened the locals, who related it to the subsequent event. More...

ENCOUNTER AT EDWARDS by Jeff Krause. One of the most troubling aspects of the whole UFO phenomena to me, are the numerous accounts of encounters on military installations, and the subsequent cover up’s, and improper treatment of personnel involved. This is a practice that began within days of the crash at Roswell, when President Truman ordered the creation of the National Security Council by Public Law 80-253, approved on July 26, 1947, and thus the lid was successfully clamped down on the biggest event in the history of the world! More...

THE WONDERFUL WONDROUS GOLDEN AGE by Louis Hart. Back on a certain date in the year 2012 it was believed that great changes were to happen to this planet and its residents. Do you remember? There were three schools of thought as to what would take place. One group believed it was the beginning of a wonderful new golden age. That there would be a total overnight change in consciousness and everyone would awaken the next day with hearts so full of love that they were about to burst. More...

BOOK REVIEW ON SPIRITUAL LIBERATION by Ron Murdock . "Surrender to life. Allow life to lead you, don't try to lead life. Don't try to manipulate and control life. Let life possess you. You simply surrender. You give total power to life and be with it." - Lao-Tzu. I first heard of Michael Beckwith when I read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Beckwith had made some contributions to the book along with a short bio of his at the end of the book. Not long afterwards I wrote an article on home Churches for UFO Digest. A person responded to my article and recommended that I check out what Michael Beckwith had to say. Finally I was able to get my hands on a book written by Beckwith, this being Spiritual Liberation. I started reading it to find out for myself on what Beckwith had to say.. More...Also read: BOOK REVIEW ON SPIRITUAL LIBERATION (Part II)

THE POPESSA OF RENNES-LE-CHATEAU BY PIERRE PLANTARD

$

The brilliance of the Popessa burns brightly.

The Popessa of Rennes-le-Chateau sits on a thone which has been set up on the rampart leading out to the RLC tower which is behind her.

From there we have an excellent view of the Chateau d` Hautpoul which was rebuilt in the 16th c. by the Hautpoul family, Marie d` Ables of the famous tombstone was the descendant who lived there.

There is a room of the castle which dates back to the original structure constructed in the time of the Visigoths. The fortress was destroyed by the Albigensian crusade against the Cathars and also by the Spanish.

To this day it is inhabited, the owner has a collection of artifacts discovered on the grounds. Plantard`s Popessa holds a large book as do other High Priestesses from different decks - those ladies probably hold the Bible. The Popessa of the Wirth deck holds a book with a Yin-Yang symbol on the cover while Plantard uses other alchemical symbols. The Yin-Yang sign is actually an ancient Chinese alchemical notation denoting the combination of elements in the heated crucible. The triangle and Infinity symbols on Plantard`s tome are the triangle with a dot - purifying fire, and the Infinity sign which is also used as the brim on the hat of the tarot Magician and the hat of the tarot Strength card.

"The Yellow Book" was a famous alchemical book by Hermes, so her book yellow. In her other hand she holds the two crossed keys which are an ecclesiastical heraldic device, they are also used by the Freemasons as a Masonic jewel. Plantard has cropped this card so her crown does not show.

As with the other trumps, this setting is a night scene. Plantard is telling us that the Popessa is a learned adept and an alchemist - she is a student of chemistry. Pierre Plantard, the Priory of Sion, and the Tarot are all champions of the spiritual importance of women.

THE CRIMES AGAINST MANKIND AND NICOLA TESLA’ GENIUS CONTINUE by Chris Holly. “When you come into occultism as a novice,” he said, “there are certain things that you’re about that people just consider horrifically dangerous, powerful things that humans probably shouldn’t trifle with. As a hotheaded young kid, those are, of course, the things that I just had to seek out and play with. So I wanted to try these methods for calling down these massive archangels that could fry your brain out with a thought. No one could tell me what the hell those guys were, only that they were extremely powerful. Once I got into it, it was like a calling. It just called to me and spoke to me and I’ve just been very wedded to the material ever since.

“But I really suspect that the main draw from the Enochian system is its mystery,” he continued. “It’s that no one can be really sure. Up until very recently in history, the whole Enochian system was obscure. Until the 1990s, no one had even gone into Dee’s journals and literally picked them apart page by page. No one had compared his magick to other systems. No one had really explored it. So there’s this big mystery. What is this? What are these entities? Who are they? Why does this system exist? What are all these encrypted tablets? If I get into this, and can decrypt it and decipher it, is it going to mean something?

“So I think that’s what pulls people in, and it can lead you on a merry chase for years and years of your life. And you can come out not really being sure you understand much more than what you started from.”

Leitch cautioned that it would be wrong to call Enochian magick merely and only another angel summoning system, but that is technically what it is at its most basic level – a very powerful and effective form of angel communication.

For Leitch, the fact that Enochian magick actually works keeps him fascinated.

“The angels respond to their language,” he said, “and they respond to the magick. You know, I’m an ‘angel worker,’ so there’s no reason in the world that I wouldn’t want to explore something like that.”

Allen Greenfield, Aleister Crowley And Alien Occultism

Photo of Allen Greenfield

Allen Greenfield holds the title of bishop in the Gnostic Church. He has a long history of active – and contentious – membership in many occult organizations, including the Ordo Templi Orientis, established by Aleister Crowley. Along with his esoteric pursuits, Greenfield has also studied the UFO phenomenon for many decades.

Greenfield is the author of “Secret Cipher of the UFOnauts,” a provocative magickal text for the modern age that has come to be regarded as a classic in the field of paranormal literature and one which might be considered to have a particularly hip cachet. It was at one time a rare and difficult book to track down, but we have included it, in full, at the end of “Angel Spells – The Enochian Occult Workbook of Charms, Seals, Talismans and Ciphers.”

“Secret Cipher of the UFOnauts” contains Greenfield’s theory that much of the UFO phenomenon can be “decoded” by using a method that draws on the Kabbalah, especially the numerology aspects of its Jewish mysticism, as well as other similar ancient systems. Greenfield believes the UFO occupants are an eternal race that has always reached out to certain human adepts by using hidden, obscure linguistic and mathematical symbolism.

Greenfield’s method also relies on elements taught by Aleister Crowley. Greenfield, like many others, vehemently denies that Crowley was a Satanist, black magician or sexual pervert. He quotes one of Crowley’s biographers as saying that Crowley was a man “intoxicated” with God.

Chapter Two of “Secret Cipher of the UFOnauts” opens with a portion of a letter Crowley wrote to one of his students in California in 1944, near the end of Crowley’s life.

“My observation of the Universe,” Crowley wrote, “convinces me that there are beings of intelligence and power of a far higher quality than anything we can conceive of as human . . . the one and only chance for mankind to advance as a whole is for individuals to make contact with such beings.”

Crowley’s Enochian Contact

While on vacation with his wife in Cairo in April 1904, Crowley received a surprising response to his many years of practicing Enochian magick: the appearance of “Aiwass,” or “Aiwaz,” a being Crowley regarded as a super-human intelligence. The being then dictated to Crowley what became “The Book of the Law,” or “Liber AL vel Legis.”

“Although primarily associated with the Law of the New Aeon or Age of Aquarius,” Greenfield writes, “‘The Book of the Law’ predicts and contains the complete cipher of the UFOnauts. As far as is known, although not fully decoded until the 1970s even in the classical form, this cipher seems to have been in use  among the UFOnauts themselves for some time prior to the appearance of Aiwass.”

Was this UFOnaut cipher the same as the Enochian language the angels taught to John Dee? Or something similar to the Adamic Language, also called the Language of Eden, sought by many medieval Jewish and Christian mystics and scholars? There is an obvious repeated pattern here. A mere mortal seeks contact with the angels and is told he must first learn certain protocols and methods of communication that require the ability to speak to these higher beings in their own language.

Perhaps this accounts for why most abductees recall very little actually being spoken to them – telepathically or otherwise – by the alien abductors. The literature on the subject reveals time and again that the aliens often remain stonily silent when abductees ask them questions about the procedures being performed on them or what the overall purpose of the abduction program really is. This refusal to inform abductees of the aliens’ intent is a primary reason the phenomenon remains so mysterious. The late abduction research pioneer, Budd Hopkins, once said that we are not dealing with an intelligence we can call into the room and interview.

Is the problem that we are simply not speaking to the aliens in their own language? Did John Dee and Aleister Crowley take the right approach when they began to compile what they felt was a directly revealed method of speaking to their angels in words the angels could respect?

Greenfield’s book also includes the drawing Crowley made of Aiwass, and the creature’s resemblance to a gray alien is immediate and unmistakable. Given that Aiwass showed up after Crowley had practiced for many years with his version of the Enochian system for “summoning angels,” one is hard-pressed not to draw the  conclusion that John Dee was most likely working with these same beings and that overcoming the language barrier was a vital part of the process.

Greenfield writes that Crowley “wrestled all his adult life with the nature of the Higher Beings he contacted,” including Aiwass.  Crowley died in poverty in 1947. Under his deathbed was found a considerable sum of money belonging to the Ordo Templi Orientis, which Crowley had declined to spend, even on medicines that might have saved his life. Little understood, even by many of his followers, his death in the same year that the UFO phenomenon came to public attention seems more than coincidental, according to Greenfield.

Da Vinci's Last Supper Prophetic

Everyone agrees Da Vinci's genius and his amazing and controversial Last Supper caused many discussions on who sits next to Jesus at the table. Many art historians have recorded the young John sits next to Christ while others see a woman named Mary Magdalene. Da Vinci knew the incredible power of art which allows the freedom of the observer to choose what he sees. Conciousness changes through time and Da Vinci wanted to paint a timeless painting. Women's role changed over time in Christianity and women are now allowed to be Bishops in the Church of England. Da Vinci's prophetic work does reveal women role in the church with a equal voice but with Peter holding a knife to her throat demonstrates Rome's position and suppression of womens rights to share a voice in Conclave. Did Christ leave us a message and the message suppressed.

St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, some say was born on July 22 1647 and the day celebrated for veneration for Saint Mary Magdalene. According to "Lives of Saints", Sister Margaret had a vision on Dec. 27, 1673 in which Christ invited her to take the place of Saint John at the Last Supper. He told her about the love of his heart and the need to spread his love. Later revelations brought the creation of the Sacred Heart devotion. Margaret's vision caused quite a stir and one must ask Christ's message of women being allowed a place at the Last Supper next to him and a equal role with his Apostles prophetic. The Church of England recognized the change of women's role in Christianity. Da Vinci's Last Supper prophetic vision reveals itself.

White gloved hands hold a torch which illuminates the treasures of a secret society.

The first object that it lights is a large crucifix showing the INRI with a reversed "N" - a secret society sign.  It may be a reversed "N" superimposed on a normal N which is a secret society symbol as well.

Click here to enlarge top photo.

On the shelf above, they is a lovely statuette of Mary Magdalene and above her are an Assryian statue and a figure wearing an Egyptian kilt. At desk level is an archaic larger - than - life carving of a human head. On his helmet are roughly hewn wings - is this a head of Mercury?

The gloved hand proceeds to the highly polished bookshelf to pull out an original copy of  "The Adventures of Matthias Sanorf" by JulesVernes from the shelf.

Another large volume is titled "Merovee" and refers to the"Templiers", these subjects point to the area of Rennes-le-Chateau in southeastern France and the Priory of Sion.  A hand-written notebook is high lighted in colors and contains  numbered majic square diagrams which are use by a secret soiety in Girona, Spain.

On display are an "X-Files" DVD and a paperback book by famous UFO author J. Allen Hynek which is autographed by the author.

A closed glass case is opened to reveal a collection of archaeological artifacts and a large silver Masonic jewel. In the center lies a beautiul dark cowry shell (see photo).

Next to it are the silver treasures -" the stupendous Merovingian cross"of a previous mystery video along with a very big Mason`s angle in silver. A representation of the Pytagorean geometric diagram in silver swings from the angle and glitters in the beam of the flashlight. The Merovngian cross is also made of silver with a round red jewel in the center and four trianges of blue lapis lazuli pointing towards it. These four triangles faciing the four directions are important in the lore of Girona as well.  The computer screen shows the "Shepherds of Arcadia II" painting by Nicolas Poussin further tying the library to Rennes-le-Chateau and the Priory of Sion.

Given the UFO connection to that area`s Mt. Bugarach, it is not a surprise that this secret society office contains materials related to exterrestrial encounters.

HAVE YOU WONDERED IF DRAGONS DO EXIST?

$

Sitting underneath of a blue oak tree one day in a pasture at my grandmother’s ranch in Lincoln, California, I started to have a beautiful vision. I looked into the sky and I felt the sunlight touching me through my skin into the depths of my soul. There was a slight breeze in the air and so I closed my eyes to connect with my inner self. I saw a blue flash of light and I imagined it growing from inside of me and around me until it eventually left my heart, into my hands and I opened my eyes and set my thought free into the universe. I felt deep inside that this beautiful creature was a dragon. I am not sure where the visualizations began and ended but in essence, I had created something into existence. I had transformed what was inside of me into the world.

Click here to enlarge top photo.

According to the dictionary, the definition of existence is to have real being whether material or spiritual. This flash of light that I had released was in fact a dragon.

A dragon is a mythological and legendary creature that has been mentioned in several religions, fables and modern day stories. Many interpretations of the dragon have been brought forth ranging from the real physical dragon of the middle ages to the possibly misunderstood water dragon of the bible (leviathan of JOB 41) to the esoteric spiritual sense. In essence a dragon is a creature that could both exist in the physical and spiritual realms as even God himself admits that animals have spirits, and if this creature were to be considered an animal, it would have a spirit even after it’s death that would continue to live on;

Job 41 New International Version (NIV)
41 “Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook
or tie down its tongue with a rope?
2 Can you put a cord through its nose
or pierce its jaw with a hook?
3 Will it keep begging you for mercy?
Will it speak to you with gentle words?
4 Will it make an agreement with you
for you to take it as your slave for life?
5 Can you make a pet of it like a bird
or put it on a leash for the young women in your house?
6 Will traders barter for it?
Will they divide it up among the merchants?
7 Can you fill its hide with harpoons
or its head with fishing spears?
8 If you lay a hand on it,
you will remember the struggle and never do it again!
9 Any hope of subduing it is false;
the mere sight of it is overpowering.
10 No one is fierce enough to rouse it.
Who then is able to stand against me?
11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay?
Everything under heaven belongs to me.
12 “I will not fail to speak of Leviathan’s limbs,
its strength and its graceful form.
13 Who can strip off its outer coat?
Who can penetrate its double coat of armor?
14 Who dares open the doors of its mouth,
ringed about with fearsome teeth?
15 Its back has[c] rows of shields
tightly sealed together;
16 each is so close to the next
that no air can pass between.
17 They are joined fast to one another;
they cling together and cannot be parted.
18 Its snorting throws out flashes of light;
its eyes are like the rays of dawn.
19 Flames stream from its mouth;
sparks of fire shoot out.
20 Smoke pours from its nostrils
as from a boiling pot over burning reeds.
21 Its breath sets coals ablaze,
and flames dart from its mouth.
22 Strength resides in its neck;
dismay goes before it.
23 The folds of its flesh are tightly joined;
they are firm and immovable.
24 Its chest is hard as rock,
hard as a lower millstone.
25 When it rises up, the mighty are terrified;
they retreat before its thrashing.
26 The sword that reaches it has no effect,
nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin.
27 Iron it treats like straw
and bronze like rotten wood.
28 Arrows do not make it flee;
slingstones are like chaff to it.
29 A club seems to it but a piece of straw;
it laughs at the rattling of the lance.
30 Its undersides are jagged potsherds,
leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge.
31 It makes the depths churn like a boiling caldron
and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment.
32 It leaves a glistening wake behind it;
one would think the deep had white hair.
33 Nothing on earth is its equal—
a creature without fear.
34 It looks down on all that are haughty;
it is king over all that are proud.”

Even before Christianity came into being, the pagans of the Earth and many other religions worshipped the dragon as a divine creature. It only received a bad rap from Christianity as anything with horns, scales and flames would come to be considered satanic with the rise of Christianity considering that it would put an end to the idolization of the glory of the dragon of former religions. When Christianity first gained popularity in English countries, there was a real fear of your life if you were found to express your spirituality in a way that did not conform to the then new age beliefs of the world. Whatever goodness or evil was released upon the world with the creation of the dragon I felt when I looked inside of my heart that one day that I was sitting beneath the blue oak tree.

The alchemical dragon of which you may have seen the image of , eating itself is to symbolize the thought that “En to Pan” or that all is one in the universe. It is very interesting that the dragon is such an ancient powerful symbol of the universe that has impacted us for ages that anyone who could deny the existence simply does not know what the word existence means. Of course the dragon exists!

I hope that the dragon that I set free from my heart has a strong spirit and lives forever to open the minds of the people of Earth. It is amazing the incredible gifts that some have received, and anyone that is in tune with nature could catch a glimpse of this beautiful spirit with their third eye. I hope that the world continues to be entranced and expands their souls in honor of the beauty of the heart, mind and soul.

We are taught from early on that there is a wrong and right way to think. While some things that go on in life are simply evil there are some things that we should be free to express that should not be controlled by the ones who hold power above us. Certain times in our history our ancestors have been repressed in many ways. There are many people throughout history that have had to suffer because they wanted to be free in a physical, spiritual and emotional sense. If it does not harm those around us why are we told what to believe and to be shamed for what we accept and do not accept?

No one should be belittled or controlled by manipulation because of their skin color, past, gender, life choices, partner choices, fashion choices, spiritual choices etc. because the truth is that we were born to be free and wild in the world and to be this means to be ourselves wholly and completely. I feel like if we were all fulfilled in this sense that the world would be a better place if we could just learn to love each other... and what’s not love…well let the devil sort that out…

Exist…
Breathe In…
Breathe Out…
Did you know?
How you came to be?
No…
But you trusted that the
Universe would let you know
And for most it did
For the rest…
It will…
For others it can’t…
But it won’t…
Let you forget…
That you exist…

OAK ISLAND MYSTERY AND THE ACADIAN CONNECTION PART II

$

Crusaders come from the Holy Land

Giovanni da Verrazzano set sail to the New World in 1523 funded by King Francis I. On his map Arcadia represented the entire Atlantic Coast from Virginia up to Nova Scotia. Arcadia was known by the Greeks as a paradise. The native Mi’kmaq name for a “place of abundance“ was called, akadie.  Later on, the name Acadia was given to the land and its inhabitants called Acadians. Oak Island is located in the land of the Acadians.

The Acadians fought many wars and many were deported by the English in the Great Expulsion. Henry Longfellow’s poem Evangeline used their plight as inspiration for his masterpiece. A painting by Nicholaus Poussin called Et in Arcadia Ego.  I point out that while Poussin lived Arcadia had two meanings the peaceful Greek Arcadia and the lovely majestic Arcadia of the New World and what is known today as Nova Scotia.

The painting has been a mystery to many who look at it. Does it hide a secret? Many believe it does and I wonder also. The official version interpretation of the painting is shepherds stumble on a tomb of an ancient Arcadian who died long ago. The New World Acadia was settled by shepherds and they intermarried with native people called the Mi’kmaq. Legends passed on to their children talk about a deluge and flood which destroyed all of mankind except an old man and young maid. Deluge stories exist through many civilizations from Sumerians, Egyptians, and the Bible’s Noah. In Poussin’s painting, the shepherd points to the R which is the letter removed from Arcadia to Acadia on the future maps of the New World. Is it a coincidence? I wonder if the memorial in his painting is not a tomb at all but a structure from a past civilization. The Great Pyramid in Egypt was said to be a burial chamber for the King but the body has never been found.

Oak Island’s legends believe a treasure from a past ancient civilization may lie buried on the island. Treasure for one man is not the same for another man. Sacred relics were precious worth any amount of money. Saint Louis IX paid a tremendous amount of money for the Crown of Thorns of Christ. Oak Island and Nova Scotia, home to the Acadians would be a safe place to bury such a treasure and out of the reach of kings and popes. Acadian families tell me they are related to Templar families. They believe a sacred treasure waits for someone worthy to find it and a curse to those treasure hunters looking for gold.

Some Acadians fled their home to Louisiana and settled also up the Mississippi River. They share stories and have a respect for superstition and a mystical tradition. New Orleans is known for its ghost stories. The Acadians developed a network and were well acquainted with pirates. Some fought in the American Revolution and the War of 1812.  The Pirate Lafitte lived among them for years and some worked for him. Pirates played an important part in our history especially Lafitte for he fought with Andrew Jackson a Freemason in the War of 1812. No one to this day has discovered Lafitte’s treasure’s location. A pirate coin was discovered on Oak Island. Are these coincidences connected?

DOES MISSISSIPPI CONTAIN AN ANAGRAM FOR ISIS WITHIN AND WHY?

Isis goddess of the Nile name is embedded in Mississippi

Mississippi holds the anagram  isis within its structure  ississi contains isis if you rearrange the letters and not one but twice can be seen. Is is a sacred word for the Lady of the River Isis?

Click here to enlarge top photo.

In Ancient Egypt, the Nile River was considered sacred for to the thirsty region brought life giving water for crops and transportation. The Nile River flooded and stories of Isis tears were shed for her lost husband Osiris told by the priestesses along the temples next to the Nile.

Temples of Luxor built by Ramses II, Temple of Hatshepsut, Karnak, Edfu, and Philae line the Nile River.  The Mississippi was sacred to the Native Americans for it brought crops and much needed water to the region.  I noticed in the word Mississippi is an anagram within for Isis. The ancient Egyptian goddess represented the devoted wife and mother.

Cahokia Mounds lies along the Mississippi where one of the largest cities lied long ago in the world. Large mounds erected such as Monks Mound which was huge like one of the Egyptian pyramids but all of earth. The Birdman buried there. He was a warrior found with a necklace of a man with falcon wings around his neck. Egyptians had there falcon god named Horus. The Monks Mound is in alignment with the woodhenge located there. Woodhenge is similar to Stonehenge in its alignments with the stars and sign but instead of stone they used wood.

The similarities between the Mississippi cultures to the Egyptian one is striking. The Catholic Church tended to take over pagan sites when they converted the natives. Notre Dame is said to have been placed over a pagan temple sight so it was the same in America. All along the Mississippi river, churches built in honor of Our Lady. The Miraculous Medal Shrine in Perryville is located near the Mississippi as well as Our Lady of Snows and Our Lady of the River.  The old Saint Louis Cathedral built next to the river across from Cahokia Mounds.  Many Acadians settled along the river and followed it down to New Orleans called the Crescent city. The crescent moon often is associated to Our Lady as well as Nethys the goddess of Egypt. The serpent goddess of the Nile was Isis for she used a snake to obtain the secret magic word from Ra. Many statues of Mary depict her foot on the head of a serpent.  A large statue of Our Lady of the Rivers exists today at Portage de Sioux in Missouri where she blesses the fleet every July.  The Mississippi snakes its way through the heartland.

Mankind is learning more and more how important rivers are to crops and life. In California, the river brings vital water to a dry land. The Egyptians knew how sacred and valuable water is to life. Isis, the mother nurtured her children just as Mary the mother nourishes her children.  One has to ask is it a coincidence or are they connected?

Someone saw the connection because we have Cairo Illinois where the Ohio and Mississippi converge together and Southern Illinois has the Burrows Cave story of Egyptian and Hebrew artifacts found but then lost.  Guess we will have to wait and see but future archeologists will find shrines, churches, and monuments erected along the Mississippi river just as we have found temples, pyramids, and Sphinxes along the Nile river.

RENNES-LE-CHATEAU AND TRUTH: THE DEMISE OF THE OLD SCHOOL RENNIE

$
0
0
I am what you might call an ‘Old School’ Rennie. Like most of my fellow Old School Rennies, my interest in Rennes-le-Chateau (RLC) began with Holy Blood, Holy Grail (HBHG). The idea that there might be a hidden, alternative history to explain the mystery of RLC, and perhaps even the arc of European history in general, captured the imaginations of many readers. What attracted us to this book was that its speculative hypotheses purported to be real history, not historical fiction.

Certainly, the rigorous historian can find many poorly supported and implausible claims in HBHG. As well, HBHG is selective in its history. In this respect, it inaugurated that unfortunate Rennie tradition of gazing into the Rorschach Test of art-history, esoterica, symbolism, and lore, and then connecting whatever factoids resonated with one’s desire for mystery, conspiracy, and/or spirituality. Nonetheless, HBHG could, at least, claim to be doing history in that it stayed within the bounds of possibility. HBHG does not rely upon reincarnation, mystical energy, numerology, remote viewing, psychic powers, spiritual intercessions, past life regression, astrology, alchemy, divination, Clau, Hieros Gamos, telluric currents, quantum woo, aliens, God, etc. Are its hypotheses implausible? Maybe. But are they impossible? No. HBHG, for all its faults, can at least claim to be doing history.

However, the RLC genre and the region have both undergone a major cultural shift over the decades. When I first visited RLC, my fellow Rennies were mostly history buffs with a bent for conspiracy. Many of these Old School Rennies, frustrated by the lack of progress or of any sort of historical corroboration to the RLC mystery, have since lost interest in the genre. Some still visit the region for its natural beauty and fascinating history. Some even enjoy the new-age culture that has colonized the region. Some occasionally lurk in internet forums and discussion groups watching for anything besides the usual re-hash of suggestive stories, tenuous connections, and remote historical possibilities. For the most part, however, Old School Rennies like myself are on the wane. These days the genre and the region are overrun with a new breed of Rennie who do not aspire to the standards of mainstream academic research. Often, they do not aspire even to the dictates of historical, logical, or metaphysical possibility.

This new wave of Rennie believe that when they are visiting RLC they are visiting a wellspring of Magdalenic tradition and spiritual wisdom replete with mystical ‘energy’. Unfortunately though, there is little evidence of a tradition of 'mystical energy' or of the 'Divine Feminine' specific to RLC before the arrival of these non-indigenous, new-age spiritualists. Yes, locals wondered at how Berenger Sauniere became moderately wealthy but no one ever felt the need to invoke 'mystical energies'. Even HBHG did not invoke this mumbo-jumbo. That was left to the mystical, spiritualist Rennies who, facing a complete and utter lack of real evidence for what they wanted to believe, retreated to that realm of self-gratifying delusion known as ‘spiritual intuition’. These Rennies come to RLC looking for mystical experiences and for confirmation of whatever Magdalene-inspired intuitions they already have. ‘Truth’ is more often measured by whether something ‘resonates with their soul’ than whether it is historically plausible.

Yes, HBHG is guilty of triggering and legitimizing the historically implausible notion that Mary Magdalene lived in or near RLC. Yes, Henry Lincoln panders to the summer invasion of ladies eager to hear any pseudo-fact and anecdote relating to Mary Magdalene's alleged presence (spiritual or physical) in RLC. However, this does not, by itself, explain what the RLC genre has become. To explain the demise of the Old School Rennie and the rise of the New-Age Rennie, I will make a series of points on the nature of history, truth, and RLC research.

1.I suspect that the authors of HBHG were being disingenuous when they wrote their book and that they didn’t really believe their own bloodline hypothesis. Nonetheless, the basic idea behind HBHG is quite plausible. In fact, it is generally accepted that the history told to us by the church, and by tradition, is largely a fabrication. Academic historians are no longer intimidated by the religious establishment and, as a result, they have done a thorough job of overturning Biblical history and of exposing the self-serving attempts by the Vatican to rewrite or obscure the actual history of the church. The problem for credulous Old School Rennies like myself, however, is that there is very little in the way of compelling evidence of anything particularly radical or conspiratorial having occurred regarding Mary Magdalene, Jesus, and/or RLC. Either the evidence has long since been destroyed or nothing like the hypotheses of HBHG ever happened. Either way, at this point nothing new is being uncovered, nor is it likely to be uncovered. This has left the Old School Rennie disheartened. Many, like myself, have even questioned what got them so excited in the first place. This brings me to my second point…

2.So what if Christianity has a secret history? We already know that the story they gave us could not be true. So what if Jesus didn't die on the cross? We all know he wasn't actually a god or the son of a God. So what if Jesus had children with Mary Magdalene? So what if there exist today descendents of this union? Metaphysically, biologically, and statistically speaking, there would be nothing special, different, or unique about their DNA. So what if Mary Magdalene moved to the south of France? Lots of people move to the south of France. It's a nice place. The impact that these revelations might have is greatly over-estimated. None but the most backward of religious reactionary clings literally and dogmatically to the stories in the Bible and those who do are immune to facts, evidence, and logical argumentation anyway. They believe what they want to believe. Which brings us to point 3, the key point in the RLC culture shift…

3.People believe what they want to believe. At one time educated people respected the idea that there was Truth -- that there was a ‘fact of the matter’, one true historical account -- that we could arrive at (or close to it) if we proceeded in a logical, rational manner and allowed only verifiable facts and evidence into the discussion. This is what the academic historian does and this is what Old School Rennies aspired to -- we thought we might find a surprising and culturally disruptive ‘fact of the matter’ behind the mystery of RLC.

Outside of academia, however, this idea of Truth has been displaced by a 'democratic' skepticism. I call it 'democratic' because there is now a plurality of ‘truths’. We often hear people saying things like “I have my own truth” and “I can believe whatever I want”. In this day and age, we don't even blink at this sort of crazy declaration but think about it: would a scientist ever say this kind of thing? A doctor? A judge? Your psychiatrist? I hope not. We might all have the right to express our beliefs, but Truth is not amenable to this sort of libertarianism. A rational person knows that one cannot choose to believe what is true and what is not true. Either one commits to weighing the real observable evidence and thinking logically and rationally or one has forfeited the right to speak of Truth. However, in this day and age, (and particularly in proudly uneducated, anti-intellectual, conservative America) this way of speaking of Truth -- a truth accessible only through rational, logical investigation -- sounds like educated liberal elitism. As a result, truth has -- ‘democratically’ -- become whatever one wants to believe: We now all have our own ‘truth’.

4.A basic problem makes it difficult to resist this ‘democratization’ of truth: We can never know Truth absolutely. This problem allows for all types of skeptical argumentation, particularly in the fields of history and religion, the two fields that come together in the RLC genre. For examples, we can never know for certain what happened in the time of Jesus or, for that matter, in the times of Plantard, Sauniere or, my personal RLC hero, Ben Hammott. This lack of certainty allows for a radical kind of skepticism to creep into every historical discussion. As a result, the conspiracy theorist or the religious dogmatist or the wishful thinker can always reply to rigorous, documented, logical argumentation with the following unassailable retort: “yes, that is what the evidence suggests but we don't know for certain. Maybe that version of events was a fabrication. Maybe what we believe to be real is actually an illusion. Maybe it was all a hoax.” Maybe. Even though the probability is infinitesimal, even metaphysically impossible, there is always a conceptual possibility that things happened some radically other way. There is always that ineradicable possibility that the laws of physics did not hold, that the law of non-contradiction was breached, that reality as we know it is an illusion, etc., etc. Maybe Mary Magdalene really did move to France. Maybe Pierre Plantard really did serve a holy bloodline. Maybe Ben Hammott really did find the tomb of Mary Magdalene. (see Gus Stiver’s The Truth Behind the Ben Hammott Confession-Hoax on this point) Interestingly, this type of radical skepticism used to be the enemy of religion. Now it is its last and only hope: Maybe God really did create our world. Maybe Jesus really did turn water into wine instead of eradicating suffering and disease. (stupid twat!) And maybe up is really down. Who knows for sure? Even science ultimately must admit that it deals with hypotheses, not facts. As a result, anti-academics and wishful thinkers can always exploit the gap between hypothesis and absolute certainty. Ultimately, anything is possible.

5.Add to this a deep wish, a spiritual need, for life be more than just the satisfaction of material needs. Who doesn't wish that there were some deeper spiritual dimension to existence? Who doesn’t wish that their personal relationships were more like some Magdalenic ideal of ‘Hieros Gamos’? Well, there is no absolute proof against it and, besides, it's a free country. Therefore, Mary Magdalene once lived in a cave near RLC. Therefore, the spiritual energy of Mary Magdalene pervades RLC. Therefore, I am the reincarnation of Mary Magdalene and I’m going to organize a tour group to the south of France. Woe onto the Old School Rennie who thought that there might be some plausible, historical ‘fact of the matter’ behind the RLC mystery.

Maybe the authors of HBHG thought that they were doing legitimate history. Unwittingly though, they legitimated a whole tradition of New-Age intuitionism centered upon RLC. As a result, many Old School Rennies have left the genre. Some even blame HBHG for turning RLC into a circus and for turning the genre into prime hoax-mongering territory. I am not one of them however. Yes, the RLC mystery is, sometimes, laughably absurd. But I don't think that we should blame the authors of HBHG. I think that we should blame points 3, 4, and 5. That is to say, I think that we should blame the ‘democratic’ skeptical approach to ‘truth’ that pervades modernity. And I think we should blame a modern, materialist lifestyle that leaves so many of us feeling empty and yearning for the Magdalene. In other words, if it wasn't RLC and the Priory of Sion, it would have been (and is) some other place and some other secret organization. HBHG has its faults. Unlike many New-Age Rennies however, Henry Lincoln, HBHG, and the Old School Rennie were, at least, trying to do actual history.

The Passing of Dirk Vander Ploeg Publisher of UFO Digest

I am very sad to learn of the passing of Dirk Vander Ploeg who I liked and admired for many years. When I first started to write about things considered paranormal I felt a bit confused on how to go about it and what I should or should not do, I also found myself lost in a world of new people with different ways of doing things and simply did not know how to go about getting my articles out for the public to read

I sent Dirk an email asking if he would publish one of my articles adding that I was new and a bit confused on how to do things. Dirk wrote back and told me he would publish what I had sent and also called me to give me a idea what I would be dealing with and how to find my way in what was then a new area for me to be working in,

Dirk gave me wonderful advice and explained to me how to go about the business of developing my blog and getting my articles out for the public to read. Dirk was always kind yet a man who told you the truth and those are the qualities I will remember about him.

From that point on I continued to send my work to the UFO Digest and found that Dirk gave me very solid advice along the way on how to deal with the ups and downs of writing about the unknown as well as the challenges of placing my work out for public consumption,  He taught me that my road may not always be filled with rose petals or acceptance which I would need to handle and continue froward regardless of what blocks may be thrown in my path.

Dirk Vander Ploeg was always a fair honest man who I came to respect and like a great deal. I will miss him a great deal.

My thoughts are with his wife and family at this time and know we will all think of Dirk often and with fondness.

Rennes-le-Chateau - "Keys of Antiquity" by Bill Kersey Delivers!

"Keys of Antiquity" and a Teniers` St. Anthony painting.

"The Keys of Antiquity" , the new book by adventurer and Rennes-le-Chateau archaeologist Bill Kersey, is everything that one would expect from this expert in the field.

He covers codes, discoveries, apocrypha, and history from ancient times through the fall of Rome and the Visigoths, to Blanche of Castille and the Voisons at Rennes.

Geometry in art and in the landscape is a key to understanding the mysteries of the Languedoc, Bill discusses this subject in detail beginning with the famous Poussin painting, he applies the Pythagorean ideal to the newly discovered younger Mona Lisa as well. The Rennes-le-Chateau parchments figure prominently in the mystery clues, and the author covers their translation by means of a complex code in detail. It is great fun to follow Bill and his friends on their arduous hikes in the tangled French countryside rain or shine - these are dedicated people!

There is an informative chapter on previous famous discoveries and maps. One of the great treasures revealed in this book is the link between Castle Cabrieres, home of opera diva Emma Calve, to Rennes-le-Chateau and the monastery of Montserrat in Spain during Templar times. A Bill Kersey book is truly and education. "Rhedae, the Visigothic capital of Aquitaine still holds many secrets even to this day. This same terrain, Rennes-le-Chateau, still the hilltop village of mystery, is loth to yield up her treasures. But now that the ancient cipher, extracted from a Poussin painting and artefacts from Pompeii by Bill Kerseys, yields its secrets. Much more the wily Visigoths now reveal in their wonderful system of concealment. Even Leonardo da Vinci proves this same cipher in both the Mona Lisas painted by him.

"Why did the Abbe Sauniere, the Priest of Rennes, insist in linking the 'Royal Treasure' with the ancient cipher for this generation to discover? The investigation of that hoard started in 1972 and has branched out into new dramatic discoveries following a secret cryptic document buried by the controversial priest of Rennes-le-Chateau. The trail leads back into the ancient past, touches base with the Visigoths and lurches forward into the future. Beset with conflicting international interests and dubious secret societies the team try to resolve the enigmas but are overtaken by events beyond their control. But hopefully the out will not prove too disastrous but there is yet another secret in hidden caves". - B.K.

About the Author:  "Some decades have slipped by since Bill Kersey became embroiled in the Rennes saga. By 1973 he had acquired many of the special skills essential to tackle this challenge with any hope of success. He grew up during the 1939 to 1945 war years. At that time the family lived in Surrey near London between three airfields and so endured some of the rigours of war. He received his education at the grammar school nearby. Fortunately the language subjects that he studied included both French and Latin. After leaving school Bill spent some time working on Scottish genealogy before serving two years as an armourer in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. A year of his service was spent in Libya attached to the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards and 16th/5th Lancers.

Much of this time he was working in the desert with the light aid detachment. Leisure activities included exploring the ancient Roman ruins where he was stationed at Sabratha near Tripoli or swimming and diving in the unspoiled Mediterranean sea. Returning to England, he settled into a career in the travel industry with Thomas Cook in London. But travel took him to Rhodesia where he settled with his wife and son and worked for Central African Airways. This included some time spent in Nyasaland as Assistant Senior Sales Supervisor at Blantyre. Again, with time on his hands, Bill served as Diving Officer in the newly-formed Salisbury Branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club, which team achieved the Empire record for fresh water deep diving, using air, in the Sinoia Caves.

On the Zambezi Kariba Hydro-electric Dam project, Bill became part of a commercial diving team from the Sub-Aqua Club. Associated Divers undertook all diving work on the project as well as other commercial and police diving. Bill still found time to develop his mineral exploration and mining skills including operating beryllium and alluvial gold claims in Rhodesia.

This included rediscovering the lost Woolly Dog gold mine near Bulawayo. When Rhodesia declared itself independent, under the government led by Ian Smith, Bill was working for UTA French Airlines. But when UTA's flights were curtailed due to sanctions he moved to Johannesburg in South Africa with Lufthansa and was later transferred to Capetown.

While there, Bill also worked evenings and nights for IBM on the early generation of computers. This skill training stood him in good stead on his return to England.

From Capetown he worked his passage to England as a greaser just at the moment that this story begins. With the passage of time, the author has consolidated his computer and engineering skills while working on a wide variety of major petro-chemical, sub-sea, tunnelling and water projects including the Channel Tunnel and the Libyan Great Man Made River project. Petro-chemical and sub-sea projects include Morecambe Gas Field, Liverpool Bay, Whych Farm, and the West of Shetland development.

He kept his mineral exploration skills tuned by sourcing the gold and mercury deposits on the Gold Mines River in Ireland. Bill Kersey's planned retirement from projects was linked to his part time work with a publishing house over several years. The purpose of this was to learn the skills he would need to publish and bring into print some of his discoveries in the most exciting of all his projects in revealing this dark history behind the ancient cipher. Since then Bill has been involved in further discoveries revealed in the film "Bloodline" and some of those discoveries have opened the path to the Sauniere mystery which is locked into the architecture of the village church".

Did Leonardo Da Vinci invent the bicycle?

The story begins with a monk noticing that two pages of the Codex Atlanticus   were found stuck together. The Codex Atlanticus is a book filled with Leonardo Da Vinci’s sketches as well as his assistant Gian Giacomo Caprotti da Oreno otherwise known as Salai. The Codex Atlanticus is filled with Da Vinci sketches from music instruments to weapons.  The codex was rebounded and restored by Basilian monks in 1968 to 1972.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codex_Atlanticus

The Codex Atlanticus has been dated around 1498 to 1519 and is one of the many codices of Da Vinci’s. It has been said that 44,000 pages of sketches existed around Da Vinci life and now we only have a few found and restored. Some estimates about 13,000 sketches exist today and one wonders what incredible sketches and inventions can be found on the other missing 31,000 pages. Da Vinci sketched on many subjects from anatomy of which he violated the law of the Vatican on dissecting cadavers. It is said he performed an autopsy on his best friend. His sketches of the human body are some of the best. The Vatican later gave him permission to continue his research and autopsies.

The monk found the two pages stuck together and the pages were separated which revealed the sketch of a bicycle that had not been seen for over 500 years. In 1998 a professor has claimed it a fraud. Augusto Mariano , one of the leading experts on Da Vinci believe it is authentic.

Bicycle replica from the sketches of Da Vinci from the Codex Atlanticus at the Da Vinci exhibit in St Louis permission given by my friend David Armstrong for this picture.

I had a wonderful time walking through the exhibit looking at all of the inventions that Da Vinci created and his amazing insight and genius.

Photo above is of a anemometer. Permission granted by David Armstrong picture taken at Da Vinci Exhibit.

One thing is obvious that Da Vinci was secretive about his work and was afraid it would fall into the wrong hands. He invented the first copyright by purposely eliminating one piece or step in his diagrams to ensure only he could get his inventions to work. Many of today’s machines contain a component or invention of Da Vinci. He was an incredible genius. Did he invent the bicycle? What do you think?

SPELLBINDING ACCOUNTS OF HIDDEN TREASURES

Why are so many people fascinated by treasure? Is it purely a desire for wealth or is it also the romantic appeal of tales of lost ancient artifacts? Indeed the stories behind certain treasures, especially those looted from their archaeological context, read like a cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond. Such a case is Sevso Treasure, a hoard of 14 large silver vessels from the late Roman Empire, estimated to be worth $200 million on today’s market. Looted from an unknown Roman palace in the 1970s the story of these ‘cursed’ pieces as some researchers have called them, involves at least one possible murder, shady consortiums, allegations of forgery, and back market double-dealing. Or the celebrated Amber Room, a complete chamber decoration of amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors, stolen by the Nazis in 1941 from the Palace of Tsarskoye Selo, near Saint Petersburg, and brought to the castle at Königsberg (modern Kaliningrad in Russia) from where it disappeared, though rumours persist that it still survives today as a part of the Nazi loot known as the Štěchovice Treasure.

The appeal and excitement of ancient treasure and the stories connected with it is undeniable. Recent widely publicized discoveries of ancient treasure hoards such as the Staffordshire Anglo Saxon hoard, valued at £3.2 million in 2009 (see chapter in this book), the Frome hoard of 2010, and the magnificent hoard of 50,000 silver and Bronze Iron Age Celtic coins discovered in June 2012 on the island of Jersey, just off the coast of Normandy, France, have contributed to the dramatic rise in the popularity of treasure hunting and metal detecting over the last decade or so. Further afield the 1800 year-old cache of 140 gold and silver coins and gold jewelry, from the area of Kiryat Gat, in southern Israel, and the exquisite 2,400-year-old hoard of Thracian gold from a tomb in Sveshtari, Bulgaria, both discovered in 2012, show that fantastic discoveries are still being made and our knowledge of the ancient world is continually being added to.

‘Treasure' can take many forms. It might be an ancient chest brimming with gold and silver objects, a romantic image of something almost mystical hidden away and forgotten in bygone times, even a legal term defined by law to denote certain types of artifacts dug up from the ground. The 1997 Treasure Act in the UK, gives a number of different types of find which qualify as Treasure, including:

Any metallic object, other than a coin, provided that at least 10 per cent by weight of metal is precious metal (that is, gold or silver) and that it is at least 300 years old when found. If the object is of prehistoric date it will be Treasure provided any part of it is precious metal. . . All coins from the same find provided they are at least 300 years old when found . . . Only the following groups of coins will normally be regarded as coming from the same find: hoards that have been deliberately hidden . . . smaller groups of coins, such as the contents of purses, that may been dropped or lost . . . votive or ritual deposits. (http://finds.org.uk/treasure/advice/summary)

But is the human fascination with such treasure purely a desire for wealth or has it more to do with the romantic appeal of tales of lost ancient artifacts? It is certainly true that the stories behind the loss and recovery of a number of ancient treasures, like the Sevso Treasure and the Amber Room for example, read like edge of the seat fiction, somewhere between Indiana Jones and James Bond.

But treasure need not always be in the form of gold and silver jewelry, weaponry or coins, as the chapter on the incredible cache of mummies from Deir el Bahri, on the west bank of the Nile, opposite the city of Luxor, in Egypt, shows. The main connection between the treasures discussed in this work is that each has a story. From the riches of Tutankhamun's tomb in Egypt's Valley of the Kings, to the northern European hoards of the Vikings, from ancient Chinese Treasure Ships to Nazi lootings during WWII, every treasure has a fascinating tale to tell. Such stories can shed much needed light on the ancient cultures that originally deposited the artifacts, or if the objects were looted from their original context, it may be the often labyrinthine journeys of the treasures after their discovery in modern times which provide us with the astonishing narrative.

In this way the ancient and the modern combine to create a unique picture of the objects that goes beyond archaeology and history.

MY SPIRITUAL JOURNEY IN LANGUEDOC

I have lived in the Narbonnais in the south of France for some thirteen years now, and never been back to England. I came here to live after twenty years of visits to the region, knowing in my heart this was the place for me.

Sometimes it wasn't easy, but I never even thought about going back to that grey place called Blighty.  I was told I was very brave, but to live here was a driving force in my life; Lord Destiny was making himself felt and there was no saying no.

Click here to enlarge top photo.

Writing a personal book is quite demanding.  How much of yourself should you reveal, and why.  I have been writing this one for ten years.  It's always with a sweep of relief that I finish the the personal bit and can crash on with the history!

Val Vineyard is the author of The Mayor That Was Me

One day within six months of my arrival to live here, I was walking in the village cemetary with a woman friend who suddenly stopped beside a grave and blurted out;  “The person in the grave is now you.”  She was quite white and shivering and told me she always got like that when she had a psychic feeling.

Being a down to earth sort of person, I thought; “Oh-oh, crazy!”

I couldn't wait to get away, but curiosity overcame me after a few days and I went back to the grave and wrote down the name.

I asked around and it turned out the person buried in the grave was a previous mayor of the village, hence the name of this book, The Mayor That Was Me.  The book is far more about him than about reincarnation, which can never be proved.  After all, one cannot strap a camera on the back of a soul to see what happens to it.

And yet there were many strange things that happened to me, and odd coincidences and connections, and as I investigated the mayor's life I found many likenesses between our two personalities.

However, it was the investigating that enthralled me, and what I found out triggered many of the books I have written since I have lived here.  I love ferreting out unknown history of this our region and so The Mayor That Was Me contains much that is not in the standard history books.

In this way my “reincarnation experience,” for want of a better expression, changed and stimulated by life in hundreds of delightful ways.  I found out that my previous life was of Visigothic descent and my research resulted in the book “The Visigothic Inheritance.”

His/my ancestors came from the Ariège.  They were at Vals, at Montségur, Usson and Montaillou.  They were Cathars, and I wrote intensely about the last days of Montségur in 1244 and Montaillou in 1308.  My heroine was Alazais, one of the many lovers of the Roman Catholic priest Pierre Clergue who was a secret Cathar.  Her son was a passeur who helped the Parfaits escape over the mountains.  Alazais was questioned by the Inquisition and spent a year in prison but she never gave away either her son or her priest.

Many of the Ariège people moved to the Narbonnais in the 18th century looking for work, but some were middle-class.  One, a lawyer and a deputy for Aude, voted for the death of the King during the revolution.  He was a republican, as they called socialists in those days, as was also the mayor that was me.

A great believer in the total separation of Church and State, I have never hidden my own socialist tendencies (to the despair of people at dinner parties.)

The life of my mayor himself sent me into further by-ways; notably the Occitan scene here which has been reviving itself since the early 19th century.  He was trained in science and writing, as I was, and he became a well-known Occitan poet.  (While the British laugh at poets, they are well-respected in France.)  Their poems are not long dirges, but crafted over and over until every word was full of hidden meanings.

It was a strange day for me when I first heard Occitan music and I understood the songs and felt so strongly that I had heard them before.

Meanwhile, I was writing a great deal about the mysterious Rennes-le-Château and started a web-site for the results of my research, called http://writingaboutrenneslechateau.blog4ever.com  Then I wrote a book called Mary Jesus and the Charismatic Priest that you can see on my article about Rennes-le-Château.

It is only recently that I found out my previous life had visited there and knew Bérenger Saunière.  I think that was the final snippet that made me think; I must put this book together and get it out there.

Few English-speaking people in the south of France know much about the Occitan scene; it is not just an ancient language, but is also a passion for this region and its unique culture, quite patriotic, many of the songs talk about “the men from the north”, first the Franks and then the Catholics, who ravaged this country, with its beautiful culture of music and literature, and brutally killed its people.

The Occitan poems written in the 12th century by the troubadours, many of them Cathars, are still modern in concept today.

Beyond dusty history books – the records of the Inquisition still exist – much was forgotten, then interest in Catharism revived with the French neo-Cathars of the late nineteenth century (my previous life knew them) and the intense Grail hunters of the 1930's.  But neo-Catharism, fantastic and heavily spiritual, was not at all like that of the original Cathars, who loved the New Testament and especially the Gospel of St.John.  They were Christians.

So once again, my “reincarnation experience” has sent me off on more research;  I have found beautiful images and manuscripts, especially in the Corbières.  You can see many films on my site for the book;   http://themayorthatwasme.blog4ever.com

Meanwhile, I have kept the price of the book really low – 10€80 – in the hope of introducing English-speaking people to the Occitan culture.  You can find it on Amazon but it's cheaper from  http://valwineyardpublishing.blog4ever.com

SUNSET OF THE GOLDEN DAWN

A martial obligation of the House of Lords was to shield the British Crown from burden or blame. The entrée of the Illuminati served a strategic goal in this state of affairs. For as the Vatican had previously done, the recently picked lords and ladies could exploit lower groups as human shields. Bavarian bankers and "collection-barons" could unassumingly redirect all detrimental criticism — to gypsies and Jews. Given that a Germanic household had few misgivings about keeping the title of the English monarchy, its well-to-do lineage could also provoke the uncertainties of Semitic laypeople.

But if the Bayern Illuminati brought about the end of the Holy Roman Empire, by what authority did the Germanic monarchs and landed gentry continue to preserve their "holy rights" and hereditary titles of nobility? A number of courtiers imagined a "Jesus bloodline" as a chain of offspring of the historical Jesus and Mary Magdalene. The notion of the Holy Grail as a lineage or the genealogy descending from Jesus' marriage with Mary Magdalene was revealed in Dan Brown's popular novel, "The Da Vinci Code" (2003).

Dan Brown used material from "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" (1982), by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, and Henry Lincoln, which was based in part on Pierre Plantard's 1950s "Priory of Sion." Plantard dismissed the Jesus bloodline story as fiction in a French radio interview in 1982.

"However, Plantard's ‘Priory of Sion' documents prior to 1956 were found to be forgeries which were planted in French institutions to be later ‘rediscovered.'" The French government depicted Plantard as a pretender to the French throne. He claimed that descendants of the Hebrew tribe of Benjamin were the "Merovingian" line of Frankish kings.

Nikos Kazantzakis (author of "Zorba the Greek") presented an atypical view of a spiritual romance between Jesus and Mary Magdalene in his 1951 book, "The Last Temptation of Christ." For that work, the Church prevented Kazantzakis' body from being buried in a cemetery. His famous novel often shows up on lists of banned books.

"The Life of Saint Mary Magdalen," a 13th century account of the life of Mary, tells of her journey to the Southern shores of France. The early French story records that Mary "Magdalen," traveling with her brother Lazarus of Bethany and Martha, landed in a boat on the coast of Provence. French legend declares that Mary Magdalene, with Joseph of Arimathea and other friends, brought the Holy Grail to France, fleeing persecution in Palestine: "O Mary Magdalene, why camest thou to Marseilles?" ("The Life of Saint Mary Magdalen," The Golden Legend, 1260)

Selected folklore of the "Jesus bloodline" hypothesis guardedly held that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were not Semites in actual fact, but exiled Egyptian (Ptolemaic) royalty. The "proof" was allegedly buried in a small churchyard in Rennes-le-Chateau (stirred by the Roman Catholic maltreatment of the Albigensians or Cathars of Southern France). That twist of history allowed constituents of the Illuminati landed gentry to make a claim of angelic blood relations to an "Aryan Jesus" without being Semitic. It suited the "Priory Grail" explanation for their pretentious sanctified rights and hereditary titles of nobility. "I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan." (Revelation 2:9)

"According to the vast majority of professional historians and scholars from related fields, there is no historical, biblical, apocryphal, archaeological, genealogical, or genetic evidence which supports this hypothesis. Hypothetical Jesus bloodlines should not be confused with the biblical genealogy of Jesus or the historical relatives of Jesus and their descendants, who are known as the Desposyni." (Wikipedia.org)

Far from the islands

(Mike Oldfield, "To France," 1984)

The Firstborn of the Illuminati greatly admired monarchism once he came to grips with the fact that the kingdom's crown had been germanisch since 1714. He was the engineered progeny of a Quaker insemination. In his opinion, he was the self-direction of all human progress. Scientists, politicians, and social leaders had created him through a program to improve human heredity.

The Horus Incarnation was a smart hairless gentleman with a cane and a Panama hat who had voyaged to the Greek island of Patmos. His footfalls were noisy as he walked to the Grotto of the Revelation where St. John wrote Biblical passages of the Apocalypse.

The beast 666 had acquired a birthright from this bizarre cavern. A circle of bodyguard soldiers marched around him. The Nazi defeat of Greece was fulfilled in 1941, with the capture of important islands.

ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE AND THE HOLY GRAIL

THE MUSGRAVE RITUAL

The Scottish writer Arthur Conan Doyle is most familiar to us today as the creator of the detective Sherlock Holmes. A lesser known fact about him is that he was also a Scottish Rite Freemason. Doyle was inarguably a highly intelligent and well-read man, who later in his life turned to mysticism and was the head of a Spiritualist movement, which lobbied to change England's old law against witchcraft. He was a champion of the occult, and relished the writings of Crowley and Madame Blavatsky. Doyle may also have been a user of cocaine (due to his favorable references to it in his earlier works.) This drug was legal and socially acceptable then, and has been described as causing one to make strange mental leaps.

Click here to enlarge top photo.

All of that together gives us a person who would, either knowingly or subconsciously, incorporate some highly relevant symbolism into his stories, infusing the Detective Mystery genre with other Mysteries.

According to a simplified version of Jung's immortal theory of the Collective Subconscious, all of humanity's dreams and desires are added to an endless stream of thought which is common to us all. Some sensitive people, notably adepts of the various creative arts, can somehow "connect" to that stream and get ideas and symbols out of it, which they shape into their creations. Critics may refer to this faculty as "creativity" or "imagination".

A secret as big and ancient as the "Holy Grail", which countless seekers strove to find over the centuries and even millennia, would certainly leave a mark on that timeless record. The brilliant trickster Doyle is actually likely to have known much of the Grail lore, as part of his research on the history of the Scottish Rite. Either way, whether by design or not, this lore found its way into his own tales.

There is a particular Sherlock Holmes adventure which can provide some very revealing information about the history of the Grail in modern times. It is called "The Musgrave Ritual", and it is widely available online, for example at this link.

This short story is by no means an example of Doyle's finer writing, or of Holmes' more brilliant deductions and better known cases. And its plot is far less captivating than some of Doyle's faster-paced adventures. But this could well have merely been a clever tactic adopted by Doyle in order to conceal the real importance of his account - because most readers would usually look no further. Let us scrutinise closely what he is telling us in that story.

Holmes initially sets out to find a missing butler and maid at the mansion of an old aristocratic friend, but ends up discovering something entirely different in addition - a buried treasure of King Charles I Stuart (which name is still spelled "Stewart" in the Scottish King Lists.).

The nature of the treasure itself is not important to the plot of the detective mystery the reader is presented with, and it is revealed only at the very end of the story, further diminishing its significance. Yet that is exactly the part which should pique the curiosity of any Grail researcher.

And that is because according to research put forward by such works as "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" by Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln, or "Bloodline of the Holy Grail" by Laurence Gardner - Charles I Stewart is named as the hereditary head of a "secret brotherhood", which was in charge of safeguarding nothing less than the Holy Grail itself. This "Grail" was supposed to have been hidden somewhere in Scotland, most likely at the Roslyn Chapel, by the remnants of the Knights Templar who fled France after the destruction of their Order in the year 1307 CE.

The main clue which Holmes has to work with in the story, is an old family ritual of his friend Reginald Musgrave. Nobody in the family knew if the ritual meant anything at all - but respecting the wishes of their ancestors they had dutifully passed it through many generations of Musgraves, each head of the family traditionally teaching it to his male offspring.

Holmes' friend caught his butler one day in the family's private library, surreptitiously studying the old document, shortly before that butler went missing. Holmes reads the ritual, and understands right away that the ritual in fact deals with the location of some kind of a buried treasure.

Here is the wording of the Musgrave family ritual. It's presented in the form of a question-and-answer dialogue, familiar as an entry ritual into all secret societies, including Freemasonry and College Fraternities.

'Whose was it?'
'His who is gone.'
'Who shall have it?'
'He who will come.'
'Where was the sun?'
'Over the oak.'
'Where was the shadow?'
'Under the elm.'
'How was it stepped?'
'North by ten and by ten, east by five and by five, south by two and by two, west by one and by one, and so under.'
'What shall we give for it?'
'All that is ours.'
'Why should we give it?'
'For the sake of the trust.'

Holmes performs an intelligent bit of geometric triangulation, to determine where a shadow of a rooted-out elm (whose height had fortunately been recorded) would have fallen , when the shadow of the still-standing oak tree on the estate would've been at the elm trunk. He then measures on the ground the amount of steps given in the ritual, and proceeds to find both the missing butler and the crypt where the treasure was concealed.

It was hidden on the Musgrave estate by friends of the deposed and executed King Charles the First, who were fleeing the Parliamentary forces of Oliver Cromwell. The exact date is not given, but Musgrave notes that his ancestor was a "prominent Cavalier and right-hand man of Charles II in his wanderings". These "wanderings" are known to have taken place after the battle of Worcester in 1651, when the Royalists were defeated in their attempt to help the young son of Charles I gain back the usurped throne, two years after his father was beheaded by the Parliamentary government in the English Civil War of the 1640's.

Holmes guesses that Musgrave and other Stuart supporters hid some historically important relics to keep them from being plundered, so that they could be passed onto Charles II when he was restored to power. The hiding place was described in the family ritual. The opening lines, "Whose was it"/"His who is gone" refers to Charles I. The second question and answer "Who shall have it"/"He who will come" refers to the hoped-for future coronation of Charles II.

But the original Musgrave who concealed the trove and wrote the ritual, had evidently died in the war before he had time to reveal its secret to his own son. Thus his descendants had no idea of the ritual's true significance, until it was discovered by Reginald Musgrave's butler and then by Holmes.

The "treasure" itself, which was hidden in that manner and eventually did not find its way to the son of Charles I but instead remained decaying under Reginald Musgrave's house for over two hundred years, consisted mostly of some corroded and useless coins, and a shapeless piece of rusty metal. But after having cleaned it and bent it into its original shape, Holmes discovered that it was, in his own words,  "nothing less than the ancient Crown of the Kings of England".

As mentioned, we are told this fact only at the very end of the story. The nature of the treasure when revealed, turns out to be merely incidental to the larger romantic adventure between the butler and the maid, whose mystery was unraveled by Holmes. And in fact it's quite a disappointment to reach that end-part in the story, as the treasure itself means very little to any of the heroes in the tale, or to the reader.

Yet it would seem that the very lack of importance of this treasure in the story plot, is used by Doyle to disguise the fact that we are, in fact, talking about a vital link in the British Royal Succession, the very Old Crown of England itself. A most important artifact in itself, it is also extremely symbolic - not only of the Power its wearer wields, but also of the sacred Grail guardianship with which the Stewart line was entrusted.

The lost cache belonged to Charles I and it did not reach his son because of the Revolution. But Charles II did in fact eventually assume the British Throne nine years later in 1660, soon after Cromwell's death - so he did actually inherit "the crown", the Monarchy itself, if not the actual previous golden crown, which indeed was changed in England, with his ascent to the throne. He did get "the crown", even if it wasn't the original one. So which "treasure" of his father's did he NOT get?

With Charles II the succession to the English throne in the Stuart line continued. This can only mean that Doyle was referring to another kind of succession which was broken here - that of the Stewart Grail Keepers, which was interrupted with the beheading of Charles I so that his sacred charge did not make its preordained way to his eldest son and rightful heir. The Grail succession stopped with Charles I.

The Grail, according to the legends, was deemed much more important to its guardians than rulership of the land. According to the history books, Charles II had a new crown made to replace the "lost" one, and this signifies that some sort of a major change took place in the British Monarchy at that time as well, as from that time on the monarchs wore a "different crown" than before. The symbolic significance of the Old Crown as the Old Grail cannot be denied.

This is borne out in the last question of the Ritual - "Why do we do it/For the sake of the trust", which words should be written in capital letters as The Trust, thus obviously referencing the object of this ancient Stewartship. Doyle is saying that, due to the social and political upheavals brought about by the Commonwealth Revolution (as well as the changing religious climate in Scotland), Charles II no longer had the same control of the Grail as his father did. The Treasure did not make it into his hands.
